I am a guy in my twenties fascinated with art, literature and many other things. I am not so good with drawing at the moment, so I think I may learn here.
I am not born British, I just live there. So, some of my comments may be in Russian or weird English.
I am also active on sites other than Deviantart. Here are some places where you can also find me!
Steam, where I play games or just chat around.
Youtube, it is mostly filled with video game playthroughs at the moment.
Tumblr blog, where I sometimes post and mostly reblog random stuff.
Twitter, where I mostly retweet cool artworks and sometimes post mine. https://twitter.com/edgus13
I hope that when far future arrives I can just avoid being turned into AI for someone's amusement. Cyberpunk and cyborgs is a pretty cool concept but I'd rather hold on to some humanity. Speaking of cyberpunk, maybe it's a good game/franchise to get in to. If anybody checks this comment "thread", can you give me your opinion on whether it's worth checking it out?
I might even get back to posting my art here just so I have more places where my art reaches. I'm not too concerned about AI scraping being a thing here because every place apparently does that, so it's sort of hopeless.
Also, Merry Christmas and Happy 2024 to everyone who celebrates!
Anyway, watch this space if you wanna know where I'll be posting my new art from now on. It's probably going to be a new tumblr blog or smth.
Idk if I should be flooding my comment section with this or just make a new journal but the things is I still like deviantart's interface and tagging system as opposed to uh twit... I mean X and some other art sharing websites.
I haven't been as active on any other social networks other than twitter and tumblr and I honestly don't want to be, it's a big time sink without much payoff in the way of any useful knowledge. I browse Xitter just to look at art and support artist, but it is also plagued by AI art and cryptobros just as any other social platform.
Feels like I should just stick to making my own website or tumblr art blog since all of my social platforms aren't suited for sharing just my art with how much I reblog or retweet (rexeet?) stuff
After almost more than 1 and a half years without going to deviantart I come in to say that I'm happy that I've drawn so much in the past because boy oh boy having a retail job has been draining my motivation to do anything else but play games and watch movies. Art has always been a secondary hobby to me and in 2023 I haven't done any serious art at all.
It's my birthday soon, huh😓
